Guy Standing, an economist, with a Ph.D. from the University of Cambridge, is Professorial Research Associate at SOAS University of London, and was a professor at SOAS and the Universities of Bath and Monash. Before that, he was Director of the ILO’s Socio-Economic Security Programme. He is co-founder and co-president of the Basic Income Earth Network (BIEN), a Fellow of the Royal Society of the Arts and of the UK Academy of Social Sciences.
